UNISS presents the "European Qualifications Passport for Refugees"
On July 5-6, UNISS held the first session on the “European Qualifications Passport for Refugees” implementation process. UNISS is one of the few Universities which joined the project as pilot cases. In Italy the project is coordinated by CIMEA, "Centro di Informazione sulla Mobilità e le Equivalenze Accademiche".
The EQPR project aims at improving the validation of qualification having poor or no certification, for students benefitting from international protection. The "Passport” was presented on July 6th, 2018 during the press conference summoned by Rector Massimo Carpinelli.
The evaluation session involved 30 young propsective students coming from Subsaharian Africa and Asia. UNISS collaborates also with the “Generazione Mediterranea” local network involving several Refugee camps and migrant accommodation facilities, Caritas and a great number of volunteers who are now attending specific events at UNISS.
