Director General for Italian Citizens Living Abroad and Migration Policies summoned

On September 14, the Permanent Committee on Italian citizens living abroad and the promotion of Italy abroad of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, summoned the Director General for Italian Citizens Living Abroad and Migration Policies, Luigi Maria Vignali.

Director Vignali’s speech focused on some of the priorities affecting Italian citizens living abroad: the issues affecting Venezuela and the need to protect the Italian Community; the need to secure in the short term the right of EU citizens living in the UK; the challenges posed by migration flows of Italian citizens leaving our country; the need for innovative and efficient services provided by the Consulates; the need for HR and financial resources, to be secured also by using consular funds.
